Thrust Ball Bearing Single row thrust ball bearing consists of not only washer type of bearing ring with groove for ball movement but also retainer with ball.

The bearing ring on axis is called inner ring, while the one on housing is done outer ring. Central bearing ring is put on axis on double row bearing.
